Lucid Gravity GT-S Packs 1,070 HP and Seven Seats

There are fast family SUVs, and then there is the Lucid Gravity GT-S. Lucid has taken its three-row electric SUV, borrowed some attitude from the Air Sapphire, and created a 1,070-horsepower version that can reach 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
That makes the Gravity GT-S, according to Lucid, America’s most powerful three-row SUV. More importantly, it hasn’t turned the Gravity into a compromised track toy. It still seats up to seven adults, retains useful cargo flexibility, and adds performance hardware to make all that power manageable.
The GT-S makes its global debut during Monterey Car Week, displayed alongside the Air Sapphire in the Concours Village at Pebble Beach. It is an appropriate setting for a vehicle arguing that family practicality and exotic-car performance no longer need separate garages.

1,070 Horsepower Without Losing the Third Row
The headline figure is 1,070 horsepower, but the more interesting engineering may be underneath it. Lucid makes its Dynamic Handling Package standard on the GT-S, combining independent rear-wheel steering with an adaptive three-chamber air suspension.
Rear-wheel steering can make a large SUV more maneuverable at lower speeds and more stable when moving quickly. The air suspension can also lower the Gravity at speed. Lucid says the package improves agility, stability and ride comfort rather than simply making the SUV feel harder and more aggressive.

That matters because 3.1 seconds to 60 mph is serious performance in anything, never mind a vehicle with three rows. The GT-S is about making immense performance coexist with passengers, luggage and everyday life.

Sapphire Inspiration Without the Sapphire Name
Lucid says the Gravity GT-S was inspired by the Air Sapphire, the company’s 1,234-horsepower performance sedan. The SUV does not carry the Sapphire badge, but the family resemblance is deliberate.
Blue accents appear across the exterior, including painted blue brake calipers. Inside, the Mojave PurLuxe Premium cabin gets blue stitching and piping across the first and second rows, blue seatbelts, blue detailing on the steering wheel and armrests, plus a blue steering-wheel marker. Lucid Bear logos are embossed into the front headrests.

It is a restrained way of identifying the fastest Gravity. There are visual clues for people who know what they are looking at, but Lucid hasn’t abandoned the clean shape and cabin-focused packaging of the regular SUV.

A $125,900 Performance Family SUV
Lucid prices the Gravity GT-S from $125,900 before tax, title, license, options, destination and documentation fees. Destination and delivery adds $1,850, bringing the effective starting figure to $127,750 before other charges. A Tahoe leather interior is another $1,300.
Orders are open now, and Lucid’s configurator lists the GT-S as available in the fourth quarter of 2026. It will be offered exclusively in the United States.

That price is firmly luxury territory, but the specification is unusual. Buyers are getting four-figure horsepower and supercar acceleration without giving up seating for seven. The question may not be whether anyone needs 1,070 horsepower in a family SUV, but whether affluent buyers increasingly expect one vehicle to do nearly everything.

Why the Lucid Gravity GT-S Matters
The Gravity GT-S says something about where high-end EVs are heading. Early electric performance cars often asked owners to accept practical compromise in exchange for acceleration. Lucid is moving in the opposite direction: keep the space, comfort and flexibility, then add extraordinary speed.

Derek Jenkins, Lucid’s chief creative officer, describes the GT-S as a more expressive and exhilarating interpretation of Gravity while keeping the comfort, space and versatility that define the SUV.
That balance matters more than the horsepower figure. A 1,070-horsepower three-row SUV is an impressive headline. One that still works calmly as a daily family vehicle is a much more interesting accomplishment.
